ok i ran out of pasta sauce tonight so i decided to make my own and its good.
1 tin of diced tomatos
2 small onions
3 cloves of garlic
small knob of ginger
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons sugar
roughly chop onion garlic and ginger, place into lare saucepan with a little olive oil.
when these are half cooked add tin of tomatoes , soy sauce and sugar. cook on low simmer for 10 minutes, then remove from heat. allow to cool a little then using a stick blender blend it till smooth.
could be used as a dip or or pasta sauce, its even nice enough to eat on its own, or take it to the next step and run it through a sieve and bottle it.(using sterilised bottles of course.
