Did anyone see what happened to Richard Zednik of the Florida Panthers in that game vs. the Sabres?

 

Dude his teammake got upended and the skate slashed his neck open and blood was pouring out everywhere! He is listed in stable condition and is in a Buffalo area hospital.

 

Luckily everyone was prepared and Zednik skated right over to the bench and was taken away immediatly.

 

 

It kind of reminds me of the Malarchuck incident in 88, when he got his neck slashed open with a skate and was bleeding profusely.

 

Hopefully Zednik will pull through and be able to play again. 

Some awesome news, Zednik has been upgraded to good condition and is now able to talk without a problem.
