What kind and how many pets do you have?

 

I have two dogs and a cat.  My dogs are a 3 year old pit bull/boxer mix named Scarlet Begonias, and a 2 year-old black labrador retriever named Loose Lucy.

 

The cat is a black and white domestic shorthair (also female) named Minkey (pronounced the way Inspector Cluseau says "Monkey").

Hi Cobra - Sorry to see so few are interested in your group. I didn't see
you until now, on Owenz' site.

I live in Sweden and have always been fond of pets and animals in general.
I used to have dogs, my last being an Irish Wolfhound - her name was Sandra
and she was the most gentle creature you can imagine. She was friendly with
everyone.

Now I own 2 cats - European shorthairs - Maya is a stray who found her way
to me through someone else. She was so neglected by her owners - it was awful!
She couldn't come inside, and she had her 3 babies outside too. She was in a mess
when she was found.
Bubben has been with me since he was 5 weeks old, an adorable male, very loveable..

I love ALL animals, and just hate people who abuse them.

Hi Goldie!  This group is rather new, and I haven't been advertising it, so many people may not even know about it. 

 

I hate people who abuse animals myself.  In fact, one of the dogs I have pics of on my page is an abused pit bull I affectionately named Cecil.  He was left outside in the hot Georgia sun by his previous owner with no water, food or shelter.  He had a buddy chained out there with him, but the buddy was dead by the time Cecil was rescued.  He has no teeth; he chewed on rocks out of both boredom and hunger, so his teeth were all worn clear down to the gumline.  He was only 20 lbs. when brought into animal control.

 

I took him in and fostered him for about 6 weeks until finding him a permanent home in Cleveland, Ohio.  Now he is about 60 lbs., is very happy, and he looks like a completely different dog!!  I still miss him though.  He has an amazing personality - so loving!  And hilarious.  He is the funniest dog I have ever had the pleasure of caring for.

 

Anyway, not to ramble on, but I love that dog like he's one of mine.  I still get pictures of him from his owner.  I keep them all.  I have almost as many of him as I do my two!

 

It is amazing to me that there are people in this world who actually think animals deserve to be tortured and to live in pain and fear.  There is something really, really, wrong with people that think that way.  After all, most serial killers start by torturing and killing animals before working their way up to people.
