I remember one time when I had to take my car to a shop, the mechanic couldn't figure why the car kept stalling when he pushed on the accelerator. (most mechanics are parts changers hehe) and haven't a clue how to diagnose the newer computerized cars.
He kept telling me to come back. I had to diagnose the problem for him. LoL. It turned out that while changing the intake manifold gasket he accidentally damaged one of the wires on the airflow sensor.
After all that I still had to pay for the service.
The look of relief on his face was priceless. (He thought he probably really botched it up).

That's funny...so you do what most other auto techs do. Not work on their own cars. Thanks for joining.

hehe.. I'm also a certified automotive technician. I was planning on building my own car, but too busy. Funny, because I still take it to the mechanics.
Maybe one day I'll actually have time to work on my own car haha
